Privacy Policy for Feedomix on the Shopify Platform

Feedomix (“the App”) provides services (“the Service”) to merchants who use Shopify to power their stores. This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.

Effective date: July 15, 2026 Last updated: July 27, 2026

Personal Information the App Collects

When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account. This may include:

  • View customer data
  • View store owner and staff information
  • View and edit store data, including products, inventory, and collections
  • View order data, including shipping information
  • View Shopify Payments account information
  • View other data, such as locales and Shopify Markets settings

In addition to the above, we may collect the following types of personal information from you once you have installed the App: information about you and other individuals who may access the App on behalf of your website, such as your name, address, email address, phone number, and billing information.

We collect personal information directly from you, your website, or through the use of technologies such as cookies, log files, web beacons, tags, and pixels. “Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies and how to disable them, please visit All About Cookies. “Log files” track actions occurring on the site and collect data, including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring or exit pages, and date and time stamps. “Web beacons,” “tags,” and “pixels” are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the site.

Additionally, we partner with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising to capture how visitors use and interact with the public Feedomix marketing website through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay to improve and market our products and services. Website usage data is captured using first- and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies to determine the popularity of products and services and online activity. We also use this information for site optimization, fraud and security purposes, and advertising. For more information about how Microsoft collects and uses your data, visit the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

This website visitor information is separate from Google user data received through Google APIs after a merchant authorises Feedomix. Website analytics, advertising cookies, behavioral advertising, and marketing audience activities do not use Google Merchant Center data or other Google user data received through Google APIs.

It is important to note that the App does not independently collect or store personal data of your customers for its own purposes. However, the App may access limited store and order-related data solely to generate product feeds and synchronize them with Google Merchant Center (GMC).

Google User Data and Data Protection

Feedomix accesses Google Merchant Center data only after a merchant explicitly authorises access through Google OAuth. Feedomix currently uses the Google OAuth scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/content and requests only the permissions necessary for its currently available Google Merchant Center functionality.

Google data accessed by Feedomix may include Merchant Center account information; product listings; product titles and descriptions; product identifiers and attributes; prices; availability and inventory information; product images; product status; diagnostics; and other related information required to manage and synchronise Merchant Center product listings.

Feedomix uses this data only to provide or improve prominent user-facing features requested by the merchant, including connecting the merchant’s Google Merchant Center account; creating and submitting product listings; synchronising product data; updating prices, inventory, and availability; displaying product status and diagnostics; managing feeds; and removing or updating products when requested by the merchant.

Google user data is protected in transit using HTTPS/TLS encryption. Access to Google user data and OAuth credentials is restricted to authorised systems and personnel who require access to operate, maintain, support, or secure the Service. Feedomix uses reasonable administrative, organisational, and technical safeguards designed to protect Google user data against unauthorised access, use, disclosure, alteration, loss, or destruction.

Authentication, authorisation, and access restrictions are used to limit access to sensitive information. OAuth credentials are treated as confidential information and are not publicly exposed. Security procedures are reviewed and updated where appropriate. Although we take reasonable measures to protect information, no internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Feedomix’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Google User Data Use Restrictions

Google user data received through Google APIs is not sold, rented, or shared with data brokers. It is not used for behavioral advertising, targeted or personalised advertising, retargeting, creating advertising audiences or advertising profiles, determining creditworthiness, making lending decisions, or training general-purpose artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.

The public marketing website’s analytics, advertising cookies, behavioral advertising, and marketing activities apply only to ordinary website visitor information as described above; they do not use Google Merchant Center data or other Google user data received through Google APIs.

How Do We Use Your Personal Information?

We use the personal information we collect from you and your website to provide the Service and operate the App. Additionally, we use this personal information to:

  • Communicate with you
  • Optimize or improve the App
  • Provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services

Sharing Your Personal Information

We may share your personal information under the following circumstances:

  • To comply with applicable laws and regulations
  • To respond to a subpoena, search warrant, or other lawful request for information we receive
  • To protect our rights

The following additional limitations apply to Google user data received through Google APIs. Feedomix does not transfer or disclose that data to third parties except where permitted and necessary to provide or improve the Feedomix features requested by the merchant; to use service providers that process data on Feedomix’s behalf and are subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations; for security purposes, such as investigating abuse, fraud, or technical problems; to comply with applicable law, court orders, or lawful governmental requests; to protect Feedomix’s legal rights, users, or the public; or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, where required consent and legal protections are obtained.

Behavioral Advertising

For ordinary visitors to the public Feedomix marketing website, we may use website visitor information to provide targeted advertisements or marketing communications that we believe may be of interest. This section does not apply to Google Merchant Center data or other Google user data received through Google APIs. For more information about how targeted advertising works, visit the Network Advertising Initiative’s educational page.

You can opt out of targeted advertising using these services:

  • Facebook advertising settings
  • Google advertising settings
  • Bing personalized advertising settings

Additionally, you can opt out of some of these services by visiting the Digital Advertising Alliance’s opt-out portal.

Human Access to Google User Data

Feedomix personnel do not access Google user data except where the merchant has provided consent for support or troubleshooting, access is necessary to investigate security incidents, abuse, or technical problems, or access is necessary to comply with applicable law. Any such access is limited to authorised personnel with a legitimate operational need.

Your Rights

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.

Additionally, if you are a European resident, please note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you, or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Please also note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.

Data Retention

When you install the App, we maintain your information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Feedomix functionality, maintain security, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or comply with legal obligations. Feedomix does not retain Google user data indefinitely without a legitimate purpose.

When a merchant disconnects their Google account, uninstalls Feedomix, or submits a valid deletion request, Feedomix stops using the Google connection and deletes or anonymises associated Google user data within a reasonable operational period, except where retention is legally required. Residual copies may temporarily remain in backups or logs until they are securely overwritten through normal retention cycles.

Merchant Controls and Data Deletion

Merchants may disconnect their Google Merchant Center account from Feedomix, revoke Feedomix’s Google OAuth access through their Google Account security settings, and request access to or deletion of their associated Google user data. To make a request or obtain help, contact Feedomix using the support email below.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. If Feedomix changes how it uses Google user data or requests additional Google OAuth permissions, we will update this Privacy Policy and relevant disclosures and ask users to provide any consent required by Google policies or applicable law.
